A Blast from the Past
I made quite a few ACEOs/ATCs a while back. They were all based on characters in different songs. I found them a couple of days ago and thought I’d show some of them on this blog. The images, I believe, are either from Anthropologie catalogs or Abercrombie catalogs. They really had nice doodles back in the day. Everything else is painted or obvious. It was a lot of fun to make them, and even more fun to find them again.

1. 867-5309. Jenny. This one is my favorite, I like the colors, the artwork selection and the simplicity.

2. This is Jane of Jane’s Addiction’s Jane Says. I painted the background and a little more. The outline of the heart (the black part) is a homemade stamp I made. It was the first stamp I ever made. It might not be that good, but it was definitely unique! You can’t tell so much in this picture, but I also painted Jane’s hair.

3. Here’s “me” and Bobby McGee…. “Me” is not me. I look nothing like her. Anyway, I don’t realy care for this one, but I decided to show it here because I love the dice . They are in a car, if you can’t notice. There’s a steering wheel in front of “Bobby”. And the dice are hanging from the mirror. Just little cut pieces of felt with painted on dots.
Which do you like?

What a great idea! I love all of them.
I agree with you, I think the Jenny one is best. I love how it is almost like all those elements were created to be together.
jenny is very nice, but i think i like me and bobby mcgee best. it’s funny.
They are lovely !
