Destination: Azerbaijan
On a recent trip, I saw the video above about Azerbaijan and the country looks beautiful. From the Azerbaijan tourism website, I learned that the country is a major player on the silk road route. I’ve always been fascinated by the silk road and I’m currently looking for a good book about it. If you have any suggestions, please comment.
Anyway, Azerbaijan’s trade contribution, among other things, is the Azerbaijan carpet. The carpet tradition has been passed on from generation to generation. They are displayed at several of the world’s famous museums. The country itself also has several museums devoted just to the carpet.
