Etsy Weekend Extravaganza: Necklace

Here’s why I love this necklace by Asymmetry, (which is also the latest of my favorites as of this writing).

  1. I love the colors. Here’s a situation where it’s not just the color of the item, but the color combination of the background with the actual colors of the necklace.
  2. I like big pendants in my necklaces. The bigger, the better. At 1.5 inches this size is great, though.
  3. It seems like such a great conversation starter, doesn’t it? I don’t imagine there are a lot of these out there, so it’s quite original and unique. It’s also bright, so it demands attention and questions. I like that type of jewelry.
  4. It reminds me of my brain. Huh? What do I mean? Well, it seems kinda scattered, but has a purpose if you give it a chance. I don’t want to be predictable, and this necklace isn’t. I don’t want to be perfect, and this necklace isn’t. It just is what it is, a little bit soft (the thread), a little tough (the metal), and a bit creative.

Do you have any jewelry that speaks of you the same way this does for me?

It’s so good to hear from you - I’m glad you found my new blog address safely! Yes, I’ve been so busy lately, but I’m hoping to get back up and running with my blogging and Etsy-ing!

I love the new feel of your blog! I don’t know if you made any changes, but if you did, I can tell and I love it!

To answer your questions DC stands for “dance crew”… CA is the organization we are apart of… making CADC. We’re a hip hop team at UC Irvine and compete at a lot of hip hop competitions. Here’s a list of videos of us performing to see what we’re all about: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=cadc&search_type=&aq=f

Awesome! Keep the comments coming - I love to know what you’re up to as well!

    xoxo,
    Steppie
