European Train Travel
Thanks to Craft Magazine, I found polyvore. I opened my account last night and played around and came up with this:

This highlights great things to have on European train trip. I love the pants and shirt and think they look comfortable, yet somewhat stylish (I love anthropologie). The shoes are by Merrill and are so practical for Europe. Wear them day or night. The sunglasses and earrings can be switched with other accessories, just remember to have fun with them.
I showed three types of travel guides, though I would never recommend bringing three. The DK book is great if you don’t really know what you want to see and prefer to look at pictures. Lonely Planet is just filled with how-to information (but usually for those on a budget) and Frommers is a nice combination of both. I like guidebooks for practical information, but I don’t really use it to determine my trip. I added the moleskin city guides because they do have a place for journalling. Moleskin journals make great travel journals.
Finally the bags. I love huge bags with lots of pockets when I travel, any style will do. This Eagle Creek suitcase is one of my favorite suitcases. It functions as either a back-pack or a rolling suitcase and it’s light. The front part is detachable and since I’m a light packer I tend to keep that empty for my trip there, and fill it with souvenirs for my trip home. The small size works well on trains and can be used as carry-on for airplanes (save the $15 fee).
So, here’s a sample of a European Train travel outfit. More to come as I get more practice.
