Keeping Note
My last post was about the wonderful selection of moleskine notebook art out on the internet today. Through that link, I discovered a beautiful, travel-related moleskine notebook page which lead me to the creator’s website and to this wonderful post on the materials she needs to sketch portably. She’s done all the work of finding the best items to use, and I definitely want to make all of those items part of my travel arsenal. And to top it all off, the Traveler’s Notebook (my favorite online travel magazine) posted an article on how to pimp your travel journal. What a great day in the creative traveler’s life.
My contribution to all this fabulousness? I will give you a glimpse to the outside of my main travel journals!
It’s definitely not the traditional definition of pretty, but I love it. When I first started doing it, I really wanted to have stickers on it that I didn’t pay for. I didn’t want to add stickers to my souvenirs list just so I could cover my travel journal. So, technically all the stickers on here except for the Nurnberg and Isle of Skye stickers were free. Inside, I have some more stickers that weren’t sturdy enough to make the cover. I also write in this journal every time I travel. If I’m on a longer trip, I keep a travel scrapbook as well, but most of my journaling and the occasional sketch is done in here. It’s so much fun to be on a trip, and read about one of my previous adventures.
I have more travel journals, but I’ll show those on a later date. Right now, I’d love to hear about your travel journaling or scrapbooking or sketchbook or any memory maker technique.

I love it! It’s colorful, meaningful and you can’t beat free!
