Living Room Inspiration
I love the way the apartment in the movie “The Break Up” is decorated. I love the two different style, colors and textures of couches. I’ve been trying to figure out a way to incorporate the very specific things I like about their living room with something more in-line with both my budget, my needs, and my lifestyle. But, this is my ideas page so, I’m posting the pictures.
What I like about this living room:
- As mentioned earlier, the couches. I also like the pillows. I like that the pillows on the white couch are very similar to the backs of the couch.
- I like the window treatments.
- I like that the walls are light. I think I would prefer lighter.
- The table in the first picture, and the table with the lamp on it in the second picture don’t match.
What I don’t like
- Glass coffee table, glass end tables.
- I don’t like that it seems the coffee and end tables are matchy-match
I think the style files has great taste. This must be why I want to save every single picture she shows on her blog. I literally force myself not to bookmark every single thing she posts and it’s tough. I saw this coffee table and I love it. I have to post it.

I think it’s safe to say I like white couches (or at least light color couches) with large, wood coffee tables.
